Our Story

Tabby Trappers, founded in the beginning of 2020, was created to help humanely reduce the feral cat population in York County, Pennsylvania. We specialize in trapping feral cats on location, transporting them to clinics to have licensed vets perform de-sexing surgeries/vaccinations, and returning the cats back to their natural environment, where they can live out the remainder of their lives.

While we are still a small organization, made up of a handful of dedicated volunteers, we strive to make a difference in the feral and community cat population. Despite the challenges of starting a new organization and adding the stresses of COVID on top of that, we were able to successfully Trap, Spay/Neuter and return over 630 cats in 2020.

As a registered 501(c)3, our mission is to provide assistance to citizens of York County, Pennsylvania in their efforts to Trap, Spay/Castrate, and Return any outdoor cat with the goal of humanely decreasing the community cat population and ending the cycle of suffering.

EVENTS - 2026

Virtual 5K to prevent 5K(ittens) - All of March!
Are you getting cabin fever? Sign up for our virtual 5k to prevent 5k kittens! Walk as much or as little as you'd like a day, walk with a friend, family, or rent a dog at your local shelter! Registration is $45. Sign up before February 16th and receive a fleece lined beanie hat and a finishers medal.

Microchip Clinic - May 2nd

We will have a table set up for the Dover Library "Love Your Library" Event on May 2nd, 2026 from 9-2. All microchips are $20 and you can sign up ahead of time to beat the line. Walk ins are also welcome!
