Our Story

Our Story

Tabby Trappers, founded in the beginning of 2020, was created to help humanely reduce the feral cat population in York County, Pennsylvania. We specialize in trapping feral cats on location, transporting them to clinics to have licensed vets perform de-sexing surgeries/vaccinations, and returning the cats back to their natural environment, where they can live out the remainder of their lives.

While we are still a small organization, made up of a handful of dedicated volunteers, we strive to make a difference in the feral and community cat population. Despite the challenges of starting a new organization and adding the stresses of COVID on top of that, we were able to successfully Trap, Spay/Neuter, and return over 630 cats in 2020.

We have recently added microchipping clinics to our efforts to make sure pets are safely returned to their homes in the event they escape. Accidents happen and we are here to help return them if trapped.

As a registered 501(c)3, our mission is to provide assistance to citizens of York County, Pennsylvania, in their efforts to Trap, Spay/Castrate, and Return any outdoor cat with the goal of humanely decreasing the community cat population and ending the cycle of suffering.
